More Amazon Prime oddness
#1
A thread a few days ago addressed 3rd party venders and Amazon Prime. I ran into a great example of the inconsistency.

I needed a new filter for my spa and saw two with good reviews and offering Prime shipping. Loaded one into my cart and saw Primer shipping would get it to me Thursday - that is three days (I'm not counting today - Sunday, as the shipping day). There was no next day option. I went back to the other and put it in my cart for comparison. The second one would arrive a day earlier (Wednesday) and next day is an option.

The only difference is one ships from Amazon, the other from the vender. So I'll definitely be watching for this on future orders.

I started a new thread because the other is about to go to the second page.

I recently ordered an audio cable that had been in my cart for a couple of days. After clicking on the item, I noticed it was about a buck cheaper, still w/ free shipping, but not Prime, though it was from the same seller/manufacturer... did not pay close enough attention to delivery date to realize possible overseas shipping; nothing in the listing acknowledged shipping location. It was only after the item shipped (on the same it was ordered) that Hong Kong showed up in the shipping tracker. The Prime and non-Prime items shared the same ratings, and everything else except the "Fulfillment by Amazon" in the listing. Guess you gotta pay attention to every little thing that is shown.

I only buy items that are shipped from Amazon directly and prefer items sold by Amazon. I'll just go to eBay if I want a crap shoot and pay a few bucks less for the hassle.
