thanks for posting that - good to see how other countries do this credit reporting thing. And OF COURSE, most nations don't allow 3rd parties to profit off of citizens private info. I've always considered that info MY PROPERTY and the credit reporting bureaus just stole it from all of us. I'd love to get a class action suit to SHUT THEM ALL DOWN and distribute the proceeds to everyone on their lists.

I always find it upsetting when I see someone inquiring as to whether closing an account will ding their credit, or if paying off their balances will ding their credit, or whatever. It's incredible that people are too nervous to manage their own finances for fear that the credit bureaus are going to hurt them in return.
