Is Gmail down?
#1
On my 17" MBP, I can NOT connect to Gmail. I've tried Chrome, safari, Maxthon & Tor (Tor won't open at all). All I get are error messages telling me I do NOT have a secure connection. Gmail seems to be OK on my iPhone6s+. I' running macOS Sierra 10.12.5. I did replace the battery recently. My MBP has been acting flakey since then. HELP!

is the date/time set correctly? try to reset PRAM, SMC, etc.

Also you could try a new or Guest user account.

The MBP & router have had restarts. I've zapped the PRAM several times. I haven't reset the SMU; I'll try that next.

Delete cookies and URL data from the last 24 hours ?
I think they refresh in 24 hours too as I've had this resolve itself the next day on a MBA.

I see this same issue on various web sites using Safari running on Mavericks. It appears to be some sort of cache problem and always clears up when I completely shutdown Safari and re-open it. That would seem to indicate it's a cache issue in Safari, but I sometimes see the same issue on the same web site with Firefox, so I suspect it's a cache at the system level. Probably some networking cache someplace or could be a certificate stuck in some cache.
