When you're talking about the biggest massacres in the history of the nation, the 18th and 19th centuries count. You objection is... puzzling

An example from the 20th century was the very first massacre described in the article, the "Bombing of Black Wall Street" with an estimated 8,000 victims and 250 people killed. Further down, you'll find the Elaine Massacre from 1919 where roughly 237 people were murdered. These are events in the not-too-distant past and support the subject line as well as any event cited.

As for your strange desire for a massacre post-1969, that's a segue quite a bit off-topic, and you might consider that whatever drives your intellect in that direction probably doesn't come from a healthy place.

She is playing tapes and small quotes from police officers. Stay tuned and we shall see. There is more talk in passing on TV from the police the shooter had assistance.
