so i'm waiting for all those pot holes to be fixed in San Francisco with my extra $0.12 a gallon, that works out about $0.28 a week.

Yeah, they'll get right on that...
Maybe they should do like down here and get a Just Fix It app going. Works pretty well. You take a picture of the pothole or other infrastructure problem, the app geotags it and sends the picture to the City. They have a pretty solid record of getting these things fixed within a month. Hopefully, money that is collected will STAY in the part of the state where it was collected. Not counting on that, however.

Bfd, our town started a program like that this past winter. I uploaded a pic and location. Later that week the city REMOVED about 15ft of road completely and left it that way all winter. I stopped reporting.

Our city gets right on it except in the late spring when they only fill the biggest, worst potholes while they wait for the first asphalt plant to crank up.

I buy gas so infrequently now, I had to go check to see what the price was.

Oh, sure, rub it in, LOL!!
Still jealous of your Volt, my friend.

come join us, Dave. you won't regret it. i drove 1000 miles in october and used NO gas. yesterday i had more running around than usual and burned .43 gallons. still whipping myself with a wet noodle over that.
LOL! Spent so much in 2017, I hesitate, although I'm still keeping my eye on area dealers and watching for 2014-15 trade in Volts.

Yeah, I drove 400 miles and used 1.5 gallons, most of that was a longer trip. I still have about 8 gallons of gas in the tank. I need to ask wife what she paid for the other car.
You should add that your tank holds just a little over 9 gallons for those not familiar with the Volt.
I managed to burn no gas from March to July of this year. I went 1600 miles on battery alone. In September I went 770 miles and averaged 130 MPG (had a few business trips that month).
