Zigbee hub / Mac / iOS devices ?

My son handed me a Wink Hub and a few controllable lightbulbs. But the Hub is not responding, and it's interface is ... completely freaking opaque. Is there a Zigbee type device that is Mac / iOS friendly ? Maybe something I can plug into the Mini ? Or use with the Raspberry Pi I have sitting around unused ?
