Holy Warp-Speed: Comcast Secret Upgrade
#1
As a part of my system security check, I reset my TP-Link TC-7610 cable modem and ASUS router.
BAM, my connection got a 241% (DL) speed boost & 2X on the UP side.
Haven't received any email or alert from Comcast regarding an "upgrade"
so perhaps it's just a network wide improvement.
Or, they're feeling the heat of FIOS competition in the Mid-Atlantic :dunno:
Sweet, if it holds.

Ok, I'll bite -- whats a "system security check"?

Some numbers would help. My download speed has been dragging along at 12 Mbps for almost 6 years. I would consider pure online storage if my upload speed was within 30% of my download speed (~130 Mbps) and I didn't have a 1 TB cap.

I can't wait to see Elon Musk's satellite internet to start working.

What's the preferred method/site for testing upload and download speeds these days?

Which plan are you on? How much bandwidth are you supposedly paying for?

What download speeds did you get before and after?
