I think part of the outrageous price for seven year old tech is simply to gouge any user that would rather replace their old unit w/ the same one, rather than learn how to deal with and/or use newer stuff. Sometimes certain old equipment does stuff that newer models can't, so it's worth a premium, but I don't think that's the case for this network appliance.
