Update
Hulu’s no go, but NBC is in for thirteen episodes.

Will Hulu do a deal?

Deadline
“This is a fan reaction to a TV series cancellation the magnitude of which we have rarely seen: Three hours after news broke of Fox not picking up Brooklyn Nine-Nine for Season 6, the cop comedy was the No. 1 trending topic on Twitter... Joining the show’s legion of fans in lamenting the cancellation were celebrities like Lin-Manuel Miranda, Seth Meyers and Mark Hamill.

While done at Fox, Brooklyn Nine-Nine may not be gone altogether. I hear that there had been incoming interest from other outlets about picking up the show starring Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher.

Hulu, Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s SVOD home, is considered the most likely choice, and I hear there had been conversations about the show moving there.”

I hope it's saved. It's consistently funny. But, more important, it's a show I can watch with the kids (they're off at college, and we sync playback).

It's a great show. A millennial version of Barney Miller.

I really enjoy Nine-Nine, and save all the episodes.

There was a somewhat low point for me with the arc of Jason Mantzoukas. I don't like him one bit. He left the 99 (for good I hope) but turned up on The Good Place. ::hurl:: Fortunately that was a very short arc.

Samberg is good but a little of him goes a long ways. Everybody else is really great. I love Rosa, and really liked Beatriz's appearances on Modern Family.

And major props to Andre Braugher. He was a little too much in Homicide: Life on the Street, constantly screaming, and should have been charged with felony overacting. (To be fair, the whole show was a little overwrought.) But as Captain Holt, he has great comedic timing and delivery.

I hope this show gets rescued (along with The Expanse). It's happened to a very few shows I like (JAG, Southland).

FOX has cancelled some really good shows in the past. Did they drop the 99 because of salaries? Some networks drop shows without giving them a chance to grow an audience but the 99 was pretty solid.

“Ever since we sold this show to Fox, I’ve regretted letting it get away, and it’s high time it came back to its rightful home,” NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement. “Mike Schur, Dan Goor and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC, and we’re all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up. I speak for everyone at NBC, here’s to the Nine-Nine!”

So NBC picks it up for a whole 13-episode run? They didn't want to take a chance on it, somehow 'let it get away', but now they 'saved the day'.

Doesn't give me any confidence for a seventh season.
