I had asked the question b/c there is a place here in Houston called The Chocolate Bar (on West Alabama for those of you familiar with Houston) which basically makes homemade chocolate desserts and ice creams. The place is awesome, but a bit pricey (example, pint of one of their ice creams is $6.95, cookies are $2.95(!) each, etc.).

Anyway, they have this flourless chocolate truffle cake ($5.95 or $6.95 per slice) that is simply heavenly. So, I was wondering if it was so heavenly b/c it was flourless and, if so, is that good for my health or bad for my health.

Anybody who lives in Houston and hasn't checked this place out, go now!

Anybody visiting Houston (even for a day) needs to make time for this place!

My Mum was a depression era child. She remembers the eggless, milkless, butterless cakes. One thing they seem to have plenty of was flour.

flourless cake, isn't that like uncarbonated pop/soda or yolkless eggs? Stop messin' with the good stuff! If it wasn't bad for you what fun would it be?
