Shoot, I wish this stuff was a lot more straight forward... the various charger/cable combos can be confusing as all heck. Sure enough, buried in the red cables' myriad of reviews were a couple of zingers that made light of similar issues... that was after a lot of hunting. The gray one, w/ 1000's of reviews, had some praisers that I found, but no real on-point zingers. Now to search for some "certified" red ones... and some hoping.
