I have a small issue with some iPhones on Comcat (Xfinity Mobile)
#1
We have an older iPhone SE that I took to Comcast and I got a new line. new number. That was probably 6 months ago.

now wife's iPhone SE from ATT Prepaid was eligible for unlock so I tested it with the Xfinity SIM and yes, it worked. Then I put the Xfinity SIM back in the original phone.

today I went to Xfinity to port both my number and her number to Xfinity.

My phone was unlocked a few days ago, and luckily I never tested it with that Xfinity SIM. They were able to activate my iPhone SE and port my ATT number. So far so good.

But when they tried to activate her iPhone SE, the system said the iPhone is already active on Xfinity. I showed them the iPhone with ATT SIM in it, they didn't know what to do. Finally I remembered that a few weeks ago I had the Xfinity SIM in this phone and somehow the IMEI got registered on Xfinity network. Fine, but I told them the SIM is back in the old phone (which was at home).

They tried to delete it, they didn't manage it.

They said I should come back with both phones and maybe they can try something like activate the old iPhone SE again, or SWAP the SIMS.

I am not sure how this will end up...

FWIW, 2 older iPhone 5 did not work (they do not support WiFi calling, and probably also do not support Verizon LTE bands). I also tried an LG Aristo and it did not work

Well I swapped SIMS again back and forth and now I see the old iPhone active in Xfinity, so now maybe they can activate her iPhone.

I predict you will end up being billed by Comcast for six phones

that would still be cheaper than a single ATT phone bill Smile
