FYI, it's not made by Toshiba of Japan.
It is a Chinese Hisense. They own the rights to the Toshiba brand for
TVs sold in the US.

Yes, I believe very few brand names actually make their own TV sets. I can only think of Sony at the moment.

Samsung & LG? My LG was built in the LG factory in Mexico. Sony & Samsung also
have TV factories in Mexico.

I bought a Best Buy Toshiba because I like Toshiba TVs. The Best Buy Toshiba was nothing like the other Toshibas. Won't make that mistake again.
My biggest need is HDMI ports these days.

I assume anything $300 or below is made in China and branded with a better known name.
