SpaceX launch explosion - 8am tomorrow

SpaceX will launch the Crew Dragon tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM with the planned destruction of the rocket at 8:01AM. The flight is to test the Crew Dragon's escape rockets and is the final step before a manned mission.

It should be fun.

Is the section that going to be blown up, otherwise reusable? Or is it one that we never see again.

Either way, it would almost seem wasteful, except testing is good, and a lot of ching has been saved by reusing hardware.

Wow.

The lower stage of this test has been used 3 times already and has WAY more than paid for itself. That's the part that's being made into a "oh, crap! It blew up!" simulator by, well, blowing it up...
The capsule on top is supposed to trigger it's abort system, and pull away from the expanding cloud of debris fast enough to insure crew safety.
