64 bit Goodness?

What performance increase should we see in Leopard since it is 64 bit? This question is for Intel and G5 processors.

I'm not sure the 64 bit nature of an operating system (or chip, or software, etc.) will by itself ensure any sort of speed increase. It will allow the OS to address more RAM.
