YouTube TV?
#1
Suddenlink is terrible in this town. Considering keeping cable only for internet and then just streaming for TV. Satellite TV options are out due to the need for high speed internet.

YouTube TV? Discuss!

Me too. I've been thinking Sling TV might be a contender.

We are in general happy with YoutubeTV, but they keep 'adding' channels that we do not want - and raising the monthly rates.

I've been tempted, but it's $65/mo. Bummer. Wasn't it 35 per month when it debuted? We don't really watch any prime time tv, so not sure it's worth it.

Pretty sure it was $35/month for Directvnow/ATTNow which then went up. TVYouTube went from $50/month to $65/month recently. I considered switching to Sling for less expense but am staying pat until politics season is over.

Yes and the TV portion of my cable bill went from $40 to $50 to $60....currently at $105 with DVR rental etc.

There's a question of what rate I can get for just internet...the cheapest unlimited plan is $50 a month for first 2 years....but since i am not a new customer it would be closer to $90...plus $65 would mean no savings. So one of those two hour calls to customer service is in my future...

It's expensive, but it includes what would be our regular live sports.

We can likely get what we want from Sling for $45/month.

I wish our OTA channels were better, then we'd dump all such bundles.

I have been considering dropping my cable TV service either to nothing or to local channels only and looking at streaming services. In addition to YouTube TV, I noticed Sling, Philo, fuboTV and of course, Hulu and AT&T TV.

I'm not doing AT&T TV because of their yoyo promo/regular price, but otherwise I haven't decided.

I just sighed when they raised it to $65 but I'm not going anywhere. I'd be perfectly happy with them if they'd add the History Channel. We're still paying less than cable was, but it's getting closer.
