Glen Beck snibbles at double mask request
#1
Wearing a double mask due to the new mutant Covid strains coming in has been suggested. Beck was making fun of the suggestion putting on mask after mask and making light. He was like at number 20 or so. I wonder if he is a non mask advocate. Probably.

What a A——-e he is.

He was on a kick “I hate hippies” last week. Intimating we are hippies (anyone that doesn’t believe the Dogma of the Sun God.

I'm all for Beck wearing 20 masks at once.

I've ahead of the curve. I've been double-masking whenever I've worked in the same room as someone else for the last couple of weeks.

Just heard yesterday that it's being recommended and NPR did a bit about it today.

I’m curious what the dark side is thinking. Listen to the radio in the car small segments.

Hal’s point is that they are a broken record. There’s a vast chasm between, “keeping an open mind” and willingly giving credibility where none has been earned. Look to the evidence of past behavior, is the suggestion being made.

Triple masking for me. KN95, blue procedure mask, double layer cloth on last.

I have being doing the double for a few weeks now.
The top neoprene mask helps hold the cloth mask in place better and it makes for less fogging of the glasses, too.

On NPR, they recommended wearing the N95/KN95 mask on the outside with the 3-layer procedure/dust mask below. I put the procedure mask on top. My KN95s slip down when they're put on over a procedure mask and it actually fogs my glasses more to do it this way.

Also, my ears hurt from the bands after a couple of hours and my glasses slip. Doubling the mask doubles the pain and slippage. BUT I can take care of that with a silicone extender that has nubs to wrap the cords over and it turns out that I can use it for the cords from both masks at the same time so long as they're each using different nubs.

Lots of extenders on Amazon:

...Little that I can do about the pain at the bridge of my nose from the masks pushing down on it all day. Thinking about using one of those face-protectors... But two masks, an extender AND a face-protector seems like a bit much.
