Is Lowes kind of crappy at shipping orders?

I ordered a couple of items from Lowes for home delivery. After my order was completed I see a note that my items are due to arrive on thursday, in two days. A day and a half later I've been given no indication that the items have shipped and yet the estimated delivery date has not changed. What the heck?

I’ve had them do my favorite, not ship for a few days and then silently cancel forever without explanation. When you call and sit on hold for an hour, you find that they don’t really have the item at all. This has happened for years.

I gave them a call and they said its being drop shipped. Poor communication with the shipper. But I'm happy to wait because the item was listed for about half the price of where it was selling elsewhere. Hopefully my patience will be rewarded. If there aren't updates in a week I'll call again.
