Crutchfield speaker compare
#1
put a BT/USB music/phone module in our '05 Accord.
1 back deck speaker is blown.
Crutchfield has a clever and useful speaker compare set-up.
You can play their music or your own.
Not a true test for sure, but better than guessing. I hope.
I was gonna get Pioneer as that's what was in there and figured the factory radio is set for that.
But I like JBL and Kicker was highly rated.
I'll be getting these. Kicker 43DSC69304.

I sure hope replacing the speaker/grille is easier than our 2006 Camry. You need to remove the back seat and C pillar cover to get the deck panel out in that Camry.

nah, pretty easy. pop the grills. 4 screws, 2 need right angle drive.
unlock the back seat, flip it down. unclip the wire harness.
Just hope the speakers fit under the OEM grills. seems like.

the BT module was easy too. Shifter escutcheon on clips.
Pry up change dish and cig lighter. 4 screws. pry out storage bin.
Plug in module to CD changer port. route mic out the center to the space between the steering column and the center. taped on top of the steering column top plate in the speedo area. done. 30 mins.

works with OEM radio/CD controls.

OK that’s ambitious. I hope it’s designed to highlight differences or salient characteristics and not an attempt to actually replicate the sound, which would be all sorts of not-gonna-happen.
