I am ready to buy a new iPhone to replace my iPhone XS/256/Verizon phone. My problem is that I just can't seem to see what purchasing choice is the best deal for me. Do I go into the Apple store and get it there so I can trade it in in a year or do I go to Verizon? I just can't wade through it all, so I am not doing anything. Suggestions?

I think you can go online and see what Apple offers for your old iPhone, and I would guess you can do the same at Verizon's website. Then look at the final difference. It should not be that complicated. What Verizon offers may also depend on the specifics of your account, so I don't think someone else can differ this one for you. Good luck.

Call Verizon. If they are anything like att then the salesperson should be able to answer any and all questions.

The "old standard" of 24 months to pay off a phone seems to be dying. 30 ~ 36 months is becoming the norm. I prefer to buy the phone outright so that I'm not a prisoner to a particular carrier. In my opinion, T-Mobile has been offering the best deals for several years now although they might be "slowing down" as they grow. T-Mo's customer service HAS topped ALL other carriers as far as I'm concerned. You might want to check out MVNO's as they often undercut their parent companies. I've been happy with Visible for the ~ two years I've had them for my second line.

I applied for the Apple Card to get the 2yr/no interest treat.
Had to get AppleCare since I will not have the Amex extended warranty.
I was offered 200 for my X, but I decided to keep it for now.
