Damn you, B&H!
#1
So I was on the fence about getting the M1 mini, when B&H lured me with their siren song of an additional $50 off.

I was powerless to resist.

Just prior to looking at the mini, another 1T SanDisk Extreme (NVMe) SSD was under consideration of being considered for consideration, but at just under $300, I decided to pass.

And now they sent me another siren's song via email that it's on sale for $179, less than I bought the first one.

They are pure evil.

Yeah, I could roll my own little cheaper, but I really prefer this form factor, at this price.

This should do me until I find a decent m.2 T3 box for my 8200.

Yup, that was pretty evil there with the SanDisk.

Closed for Shabbat until 5:45pm ET Saturday 11/27.

I hope the BF sale price is still good (though it expires midnight tonight). We'll see.

I'm in the same boat, so here's hoping.

That'll teach me to post before buying!

The BF deal at B&H did not survive Friday midnight, so...

I pulled the trigger on the 16GB/512GB M1 Mini at Adorama ($949 with APINSIDER coupon deal and $20 off AppleCare 3yr).

https://appleinsider.com/articles/21/11/...low-as-429

Look/scroll down for the Minis and note that the coupon has to be activated via a link in the text beneath the Mini deal prices.

My first new computer in nearly 15 years! Now, to save $$$hundreds on monitor(s)....

B&H Photo did have a deal on a Intel 1TB 670p NVMe M.2 Internal SSD for $79.99
and a Sabrent USB 3.2 Type-C Tool-Free Enclosure for M.2 PCIe NVMe and SATA SSDs for $26.99
w/ free shipping

I will ask for leaders when I achieve M1rvana next week sometime...

(duplicated by me from the 'Share your black friday steals here' thread below)

But you did just as well, anyway.

I'm glad I got the B&H deal as I probably wouldn't have stumbled upon the Adorama deal, unless maybe I saw your post in time!

That would have been something!

I've long suspected that B&H and Adorama are the same company, or at least owned by the same company. SO MANY similarities in their part numbers, how they show information on their web sites, and other things. Also, both are Manhattan-based.

Hold on a minute. I see that is version 2, but Costco has the original version (still a very fast drive) for $100.
