Apple is barely squeaking by.

I expect this to raise prices astronomically.

Well... all the workers for their outsourced manufacturing companies in China are technically 'union' employees.... like all Chinese workers.

One of the brothers is a retired iron-worker, a union local so tight-knit openings were treated like Ivy League college admittance legacies. You had to be a family member or have political clout to get in. He slipped through with a friend as mentor and has now passed on that membership to his son.

Those sort of manipulations made unions essentially a closed shop and put union membership and benefits out of reach for many.

Haven't we all agreed that Boston is, essentially, a complete aberration?!? *

I've got my honorary withdrawal card from the Teamsters somewhere, and believe unions do much more good than bad.

*Rgr, I did'nt jump into the Boston/Racism topic (yesterday?), because I've seen that side firsthand too many times to get any value pondering it. I used to like spending a lot of time in Boston, and that thread took me on a stroll down memory lane.
