that's just silly... it was a harmless little laugh. I can't imagine that it could in any way be harmful to anyone.

McConnell has dismissed Graham's Bill saying most senators believe it is a state issue and has no interest in passing federal regulations. Put another way - stick it Lyndsey.

When I first heard about this, I assumed it was Graham jumping in and trying to promote a “centrist solution” similar to Roe, but dropping the cutoff from viability (~22-23 weeks) to 15. I figured he was trying to neutralize some of the backlash the GOP was seeing over the SCOTUS ruling.

In actuality, his proposed federal law would only affect states without draconian anti-abortion laws or bans. (So much for “local control”/“the states get to decide”). Those with such bans get to keep and enforce their more restrictive state laws - wouldn’t apply to them.

Shockingly, no one seems to find this appealing.

Marco Rubio has now (inexplicably) jumped on this Graham bandwagon, complicating matters for GOP senators.

After 19 years, South Carolingians must just rationalize reelecting him with "He's a lying weasel, but he's OUR lying weasel!"
