The 49ers are going to stick with Mr. Irrelevant that beat the Cowboys despite being injured?

They're planning to go for Lamar Jackson. He'll probably end up on the West Coast. I heard a rumor that the Rams could possibly trade Stafford if necessary.

Lamar is quite exciting to watch but he got hurt at the end of the last two seasons. I hope he has better luck next season.
Of course I don't want the 49ers to be better than the Rams. But, with the unstoppable Christian McCaffrey, that's a good scenario for Jackson. He can focus more on the pocket.
Lamar is great but he'll be costly. He has the franchise tag on him so any team trading for him will need to cough up two first-round picks. Niners gave up 3 first-rounders plus a 3rd to draft Trey Lance, which I thought was way too much. They won't be able to get much for Lance in a trade. Stafford still has something left in the tank but his guaranteed contract is tough to trade.

I put the weight on the 49ers because I think the Rams are going to go all in on Caleb Williams. The Seahawks got new life with Gino. The Chargers have of course, a jackpot of a QB, the Raiders with Jimmy.

Caleb Williams would be a great pick. Rams will need to trade up in 2024 or just suck the worst.
