Beacon 23 and The Winter King Not Returning on MGM+

......A former TV queen and current TV king are both ending their short-lived reigns on MGM+. Neither Beacon 23 nor The Winter King will return to the streamer for additional seasons.

Loosely based on Hugh Howey’s short story of the same name, Beacon 23 stars Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) and Stephan James (Homecoming) as Aster and Halan, individuals who end up in confinement together at the furthest reaches of the universe. The sci-fi series streamed for two seasons from 2023 to 2024, totaling 16 episodes.

The Winter King is a British historical fiction series based on Bernard Cornwell’s Warlord Chronicles books, starring Iain De Caestecker (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as warlord Arthur Pendragon, the exiled, illegitimate son of King Uther. The Winter King streamed in 2023 for one 10-episode season........

...........will shop them.........around................?!

Agreed.

I wasn't much of a fan of Welliver, but loved him in these series.

I always like Madison Lintz in the series, and she just got better and better.

One more Legacy series after this, and I'd be Ok with it ending - barely.

Bosch had more legs as did Legacy but we can't have stars making too much money can we.

I'll alway have reruns.

Maggie Q is ok, and I've liked her even though her projects I saw didn't go well.

She did The Protégé with Micheal Keaton a few years back.

The plot was basic but she and Keaton were very good; I even like Samuel L, something I don't do very often.

So she may pull off her Ballard role well, or maybe be just OK.

In the books Connelly pumps out like toothpaste from the tube, Bosch works with Ballard on occasion, so Welliver may still get some screen time.

Jerry Edgar, J-Edgar in Bosch, is supposed to get his own series as well.

It won't be Bosch, but he's really good so I hope his series is, too.

I'll miss Crate, Barrel, Chandler, and especially Maddy, along with Bosch.
