Speaking as a constituent, Chris Van Hollen has been a good Senator. Is this person judging him by this one interview clip? ...

I think you failed to read to the end.

He lied in that interview clip.

But all the dems in Congress are lying. Even AOC.

They are cooperating with the Republicans. They are complicit.

Define cooperating. In specific terms.

Follow that by explaining how dissing the Democrats by quoting a writer dissing rhe Democrats is in any way any better than anything the Democrats are doing. Flacidly typing on a computer is not Resistance.

I am angry with most of the Democrats but calling them liars and complicit is just rage typing and does not mean a fucking thing.

As a Pennsylvanian, sorry about Fetterman. We thought we had a gem. Now even his most loyal apologists are growing weary.

He's kind of a cranky crack pot. Not quite into asshat territory yet, but he's edging closer to it every day.

Facilitating.

Do you assume that the minority party is powerless? Then how did the republicans block so much?

In particular, the Senate offers numerous ways to stall nominations before they come to a vote. How many judges did Obama nominate, never to come out of committee?

But then they voted for these nominees. If their votes were purely symbolic then they should have voted nay, no? But this isn't a situation where their votes didn't count because they didn't have the majority. They put several of the appointments over the top and in at least one case (Marco Rubio) gave that candidate a unanimous endorsement. The symbolism of that act should horrify you.

I agree with the editorial in the OP.

Dems are using this to make lots of noise for fundraising.

Don't judge them by what they say and post online. Judge them by their actions.

Looking at the voting records, they're sellouts and they're complicit in the destruction of our democracy and economy and of the world-order.

They they they. Go back and check on those votes. I don't believe THEY voted as a monolith.

Don't tell me what I think. I'm an old lady and I've seen a LOT and I know a LOT and you shouldn't think I am assuming anything. I understand how and why things can get out of committees. It ain't so simple as you seem to imagine.

Why don't YOU go DO something, Mr. All Talk and No Action, if it is so important to you? Jeezus, I hate wheelchair generals.

Did you miss this?

Look for yourself:
https://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/r..._00008.htm

Roll call vote. Not "voice" or "unanimous consent."

Every vote was made part of the public record.

Marco Rubio was considered the sane one. But I totally disagreed with that action.

This doesn't make them liars.

Also, did you understand that this was just one nomination? And not all of them? Because you seem confused.

By the way, the giant fonts make me feel as if I am talking to a high school kid who just learned html.

I'm done. Have a lovely day.

...while just ten out of the forty-seven members of the Democratic Senate bloc voted against every other Trump nominee: Tammy Duckworth, Mazie Hirono, Ed Markey, Chris Murphy, Patty Murray, Jack Reed, Elizabeth Warren, Chris Van Hollen, Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden.

Give them props.

F the rest.
