So I call Apple because it's been a week and half since we went to the Birkdale Village Apple Store about my wife's MBA M2 not charging and they done the diagnostics and found the cable was bad. Well they said the MagSafe 3 cable would be in in 2-3 business days. Well the lady at Apple connected me to the store and get this there was no record of us bringing in the MBA but there was a record of her inquiring about a battery for her trusty old iPhone 6s. The Genius(cough, cough) over the phone at the store started in about how he wouldn't let his parents walk around with a iPhone 6s and kept going on about how carriers nor Apple not longer support it. I had to stop him and tell him that we got the 6s battery replaced and it's working fine for what she does with it and I had to get him back on the subject at hand the MBA cable issue. He then proceeds to tell me us just to call Apple and ask them to replace the cable under warranty that they had diagnosed the issue. They had those cables in stock at the Apple store but since it was a warranty issue they couldn't just swap the cables out. I've been using Apple products for 30 years and this has to be the one that takes the cake for me.
We heard the same damn spill about her old 6s at the Apple Store from not one but two people how she shouldn't be using it. We had the battery replaced by a local guy and a new screen protector for like $42 and she's only charging her phone about every 3 days, its working just fine. She uses it first and foremost for a phone and text messages. Occasionally she play solitaire and check the weather but not much else. She doesn't want a new phone she likes her Rose Gold iPhone 6s for crying out loud.
