KFC was probably third by default and most likely a distant third.

Cane's is really good.

Cane’s is ok, good stuff, but their heat is weak.
Nothing that can’t be fixed with some RYO spicing and saucing.

That's understandable......

"Raising Cane's is opening its first Atlanta location in West Midtown, at the intersection of 14th Street and Northside Drive, where a Krystal restaurant currently stands. The new restaurant is expected to open in the spring of 2026."

Y'all have been Cane's Free until next year.
Just let the anticipation build, and in another year, or so, you'll be able to revel here in its goodness.

The fast food chicken sandwich market is pretty crowded nowadays. I've tried most of them.
Chick Fil A, Popeyes, Raising Cane's, etc.. That's not counting hamburger fast food with chicken sandwiches like: Wendy's, McDonalds, KFC, Shake Shack etc.

There are two new (to my location) smaller chain chicken places like PDQ (eatpdq.com) and Dave's Hot Chicken (daveshotchicken.com)

AND, I just came upon ANOTHER ONE worth noting on a recent road trip. Super Chix. (superchix.com) from Texas. Only about 40 locations. I'm ranking Super Chix at the top. No. 1 or 2. It's THAT good. Check it out if you find one.

Had them once.  Wasn't impressed.  They opened one here recently but I haven't bothered to check it out.  We have a chain called Huey Magoo's that I like.  Popeye's is my favorite though
