Hi Maggie,

My deepest condolences for the loss of your husband Pat. Though we only know each other through this geeky forum, this is truly a community and Pat was a valued part of it. I'm glad to hear that he died in a peaceful and gentle way and that he had loved ones to care for him.

Regards, Dave

I am absolutely amazed to discover myself on this rock ball rotating around a spherical fire. It's a very odd situation. And the more I look at things I cannot get rid of the feeling that existence is quite weird. -- Alan Watts

This is just to let you know that my husband, Lost in Space, or Pat, passed away after a very long bout of ill health. He died very peacefully at home in the gentlest way you can imagine. This was really a blessing as his illness (pulmonary fibrosis) can lead to a dreadful ending.
He affectionately referred to this as the Mac Geek Forum.  Actually, our family depended on advice from you all for all sorts of things over the years. He did successfully get all the stuff from his old mac book pro to this newer mac book air. He couldn't get his music to transfer, or perhaps just play, I'm not sure. He finally told me it wasn't possible on this laptop.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know and thank you all for helping us out all these years. If I run into some kind of conundrum, I may post to you all. That's one of the things I forgot to ask him about...

Sending hugs Maggie. Thank you for letting us know. Wishing all the best for you. May the good memories, carry you forward.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Please come back if you need anything!

“But look, you found the notice, didn’t you?”
“Yes,” said Arthur, “yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard.'"

Dear Maggie:  I was sad to learn of LostInSpace's passing; he was valued in this small geeky community. His questions were always interesting and some were real stumpers. If we can ever be of help to you or your family, please let us know.
Rest In Peace, Pat/LostInSpace.

Maggie, my condolences on the loss of your spouse. There's usually not much that one can add when responding to such a loss but I'm glad to hear that Pat passed peacefully at home. I hope that your memories of your times together can bring you some comfort in time.

Regards,
JoeM
