I'd prefer no music at all.

I vaguely remember seeing a video of fireworks accompanied by the 1812 Overture that was pretty good. It may still be on YT.

Head down to the Charles for the Boston Pops if you ever have the opportunity.

When we were passholders, we would go to Epcot and sometimes stay for the fireworks show, which always had music accompanying them. For that, the music was fine. But it's been a long time since we've gone "in person" to any fireworks show. There was one a few miles from where we lived in downtown Orlando, but it would get like 100,000 people. Parking was insane. We went once, about 30 years ago. After that, we would just drive to a neighborhood about 6 blocks east where you could park easily on a side street and watch the fireworks from a little park. We've since moved about 10 miles north, where the city next to us has a huge show the night before. Again, it gets like 100,000 people. There's an area in our neighborhood where you can watch the show. About 50-100 people from the neighborhood show up. It's just under 2 miles from the show, but you can still hear the booms. Much nicer than parking half a mile from the "show", being surrounded by 100,000 people, then trudging back to your car and waiting in horrible traffic to get back home.

I go see Navy Pier fireworks most weeks but I don't watch from a place where you can hear the cheesy soundtrack. My own music, or live music would be fine.

SO ______ LOUD YOU CAN'T HEAR THE DANG FIREWORKS
I just realized that's why I wouldn't want music to accompany it. Not so much the bombs bursting in air sentiment, but just enjoying the visual and audible dynamics of great pyrotechnics.
