OS9 iMac has communication error with Epson CX3200 printer

Friend at church, called and said she has spent all day trying to communicate to her Epson CX3200 printer. I installed the OS9 driver from the epson site, rebooted, but it has been so long since I have used OS9, I don't know what to do next.

Any idea, I will be looking on the Epson, and Apple site.

The USB cable is plugged in, and we will be trying another cable.

Did it just suddenly stop working? Does it scan or print or neither?

Did you test that USB port to make sure it is working correctly? Maybe plug in a camera or something.
