Can someone recommend some speakers for my 5.1 system?
#1
I have a $74-$100 center speaker. Rears are just some bookshelf speakers. And front use to be some huge speakers, but replaced them with some little tiny speakers from a set my son won at the bowling alley. I am sure I am not getting the correct balance and sound.

Should I look to replace all 5 at once, or should I just go for the fronts.

Also have a subwoofer from Costco.

Thanks.

In theory you want your front speakers to match your center channel speaker so that the sound is consistent in the front. I would try and buy the same brand and series, if possible, front speakers as your center.

Left right and center; good to match the sides too, but sides are less important.

The Spherex (designed for gamers) is AMAZING value for money.

Otherwise, buy Infinity Interludes or Betas on Ebay:

Polk or
Klipsch 2.1 with subwoofer: I got a refurb set from klipsch.com for ~100, sometimes they're even cheaper on Amazon, Outpost, etc. STF for either and you'll glean a lot of info.
