Apple screwed up again...

Looks like Apple screwed me again. My 20" iMac left Shanghai yesterday morning, and wasn't supposed to be delivered until Friday. I get home today to find a FedEx delivery notice...so now instead of eating dinner, I had to drive for 20 minutes and now find myself waiting in line with the unwashed masses...

There comes a time when you have to put your foot down.

Look, it's your life. You can't have someone surprising you and delivering something earlier than promised.

You could have handled it if it was a day late. Chalk it up to a fundamental breakdown of crtiical systems in a major corporation. Or at the very least a lazy delivery driver. These things happen all the time. We expect it.

This crap of exceeding customer's expectations has got to stop!

Why not just have FedEx reschedule the delivery and enjoy your dinner? What's your problem?

Yeah...I had it all planned out - stay up all night Friday, probably into early Saturday...but now it looks like I'm gonna be stumbling into work late tomorrow....
