Silent Upgrade

After chasing fedex ground for three days (the extra $ for fedex air is worth it), I got my refurb 24" iMac 2.16ghz/250gb/1mb/7300gt with 128mb.

It actually has a 7600gt with 256mb video card... yahoo!

Now Apple has to send me the second restore disk that apparently fell out of the partially opened box.

BTW, I was blown away by the display, absolutly the best I have ever owned, but then the previous best that I had owned was the first of the 2006 20" iMacs.

Is that the new iMac or a refurb?

Huh! I bought a 24" 2.16GHz refurb for a client last week and didn't get the 7600 bump. Alas.

This particular user just couldn't get their head around the glossy screens on the new models. I bought four of the 24" 2.4GHz new models for another client this week as well, and man -- those machines blow me away. Beautiful in every way. I am again tempted to get one myself instead of holding out for the Mac Pro.
