network printing problem

my wifes Gateway is wifi'd to my network. It sees my Canon printer when it's on and prints, but it doesn't print in black, it prints in kind of lines of blue.
I know this is probably more a windows problem.
Anyone have any idea where to look or fix on that dang thing?
OBTW, I tried to sell her on a Mac, but alas some of her verticle market apps barely run right under 'dows.

Have the printer drivers been installed on your wife's Gateway?

You need to get the Canon Network Printer Drivers installed on the PC... Go and download them from the canon website.
