How do you export stills from a .mov without QT Pro?

Are there any other utilities to create a folder of stills from a .mov file besides Quicktime Pro?

iMovie can take a still ('copy frame') from anything you can import into its timeline.

From one of the Rogue Amoeba developers. I wanted to export a folder of stills from a single movie, works great:

as in export the entire video as a bunch of individual still frames? or take random individual frames as stills? if you just want random frames, stop the video on whatever frame you want, and click-drag to the desktop.

If all else fails, use ++4.
