I recently saw part of a Dr. Phil show featuring a woman who ran a MySpace area dedicated to pictures of drunken women in really embarrassing situations: sprawled unconscious with people writing on them, head in the toilet, lying in their own vomit, etc.. The woman who ran this woeful showcase was trying to argue that it was a blow for equality because it's (she said) considered OK for guys to act like this.

Other guests on the show tried to point out that publishing that kind of image anyone can see it is pretty stupid in several ways: your current or future bosses, or your teachers, or your family could see these images, etc. (aside from all the other obvious reasons not to do this).

BTW if anyone wonders why I was watching Dr. Phil, my excuse is that I was sick at the time.

Thank goodness that I graduated from college right before the World Wide Web. I have incriminating drunken photos of me and a sitting US Congressman from our college days. They will remain in my shoebox in the attic, thank you.
