Turbo Tax always calculating
#1
Why is TurboTax always calculating this year?

It is so slow doing this every input.

Is there an option to turn it off?

Have you downloaded any of the updates? I started doing my taxes back in February and had to manually download the first update from the TurboTax site. Once that was done it pretty much ran flawlessly. If you have AutoUpdates turned on, located in the Preferences, it will check for updates everytime you restart the program. Now there must have been 8 or 9 different updates and after I've filed there is still another update wanting to download.
Brother!!!

I'm running a MDD dual 1 GHz G4 with 1 GB of ram and OS 10.4.5 and Firefox as my default browser that was important in downloading the manual update.

Just a G4/400, but it's only a tax program. And everytime I make an entry, it goes to calculate, and takes away control for over 20 or 30 seconds. Not the way it has worked in the passed. It would only do the calculations at the end of a larger segment. Although I like the constant (Less Tax) being subtracted from the (What I owe) window as I am going through the deductions. It keeps Calculating it DOWN and Down.
