Did anyone else rceive this spam?
#1
I get a lot of spam but I watch it and the majority is career spammers using old tricks . . . this one isn't.
I had a transaction recently with Apple and was meticulous to check every option to keep my e-mail from being shared, or to receive offers. First time I linked my 'main' addy with an Apple account. Or could having received an e-mail from someone with a .mac account result in this?
Kinda pisses me off.

I always use my gmail account for that kind of thing, ordering online or joining an organization.

Any spam I get on my gmail account only happens once for any given source. I mark it as spam. Gmail spam filters are very good and respond immediately.

I will add that I have never received spam from giving Apple my email (.mac account) address. Why you would and I don't is perplexing. I suspect your address was obtained from some other source, and is just coincidental to your Apple activity.

Misspellings are a cheap and easy way to up the response count, and resultantly get more attention to a thread (shh, don't tell anyone).
