Trial of iWork missing
#1
Just helped someone set up their new iMac and was disappointed to find that the thirty day trial of iWork isn't included any more. When did that happen? The person I was helping had been using an ancient Office suite in System 9 and I had said that he would be able to give Pages and Numbers a go for 30 days to see if he could use that before deciding if he needed to go back to Office.

At least all his old Word docs are opening in TextEdit and he can save new textEdit documents in a Word format if he needs to send to others.

The big thing will be if he can do without his beloved PageMaker. InDesign really is overkill for what he needs these days and costs a fortune. Would be useful to be able to open some of his old files though.

You can still download a trial...I think.

The trial version was so big that I had trouble downloading it. I went to my local Apple Store and they put it on a CD for me.

my pagemaker needs were vital but light; i've done quite well with Swiftfpublisher in it's stead. the files won't transfer but SP is easy to use so recreating them was not a hassle.
