'Bobby' Ginn, Ginn Clubs and Resorts specializes in land acquisition, real estate development and management, architectural design and engineering, Resort development and operation and golf course construction and management. The company is one of the largest privately held real estate development and management firms in the Southeast, with nearly 30,000 acres of land currently under development in Florida, South Carolina and St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands). Current projects in Central Florida include Reunion Club and resort (off I-4 south of Celebration) and Bella Collina in Mt. Verde, Florida (near Clermont).
The Ginn Company operates many web sites both on the Internet as well as the corporate intranet. The ideal candidate must posses a hybrid skill set that includes good writing and communications skills, as well as advanced knowledge web technologies including HTML content authoring.
As the Web Content Administrator you will prepare content for Ginn's numerous web sites. The successful candidate will review content, schedule and assist in developing a uniform branding of content, while still providing flexible outlets for the variety of Ginn concepts and products. Candidates should be able to effectively create original content and edit legacy/existing content, as well as evaluate site functionality.
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of web site creation technologies including HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, XML/XSL, and Flash. Practical knowledge of security and content access control mechanisms and experience using various security models for web sites as well as understanding of SSL and similar technologies also is desired.
Job Requirements:
Experience and Aptitude:
- Provide web-site content support
- Manage the day-to-day information submission and updating activities on sites
- Ensure the quality and integrity of the documents published
- Keep up to date with best practice in web usability, web page design and writing for the web
- Review web content and evaluate user needs
- Obtains source content from subject matter experts
- Works with key stakeholders on establishing process and schedules to ensure smooth communications on projects
- Coordinates testing and posting of content to the Web with external Internet agency
- Maintains consistent look and feel with current branding strategy
- Drive quality into the company culture by contributing to internal initiatives
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in communications, content management or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in technology or web related field
- Advanced knowledge of HTML including experience creating, editing, and deploying web pages
- Strong writing, editing and grammar skills with high attention to detail
- Knowledge and familiarity with current and emerging web-based technologies DHTML and JavaScript skills highly desirable
- Strong client relationship skills with ability to follow-through work to completion without supervision on routine tasks
- Proven ability to task multiple projects simultaneously and deliver against aggressive deadlines
- 2 year degree in Communications, IT or related field or equivalent experience required
- 4 year degree in Communications, IT or related field or equivalent experience desired
