Can't erase flash drive "input/output error"
#1
I have a nice, barely used 8GB flash drive that I'm trying to mount. It won't mount. OK, I think, probably time to reformat. Opening disk utility it's ghosted out, but I can still click on it. When I try to erase it I get the following warning window: "Disk Erase failed with the error: Input/output error." Trying on a PC was no help either.

Long, long, long shot... does DiskWarrior work with flash drives?

Edit: Just used DiskWarrior on one of my flash drives, so it does work. Probably won't work on your drive, unfortunately, but may be worth a shot just to see.

Edit, edit: Good grief, my typing is worse than usual this morning - and it's usually really bad.
