Good advice BL and I looked at your stolen bike page - saw the following:

and thought Apple had started a bicycle sideline of the New York business of trashing your car to make it less desirable to thieves - iDing - get it?

OK maybe I'm stretching things. Hey, I have a lot of time on my hands nowadays.

Another option: Uglifying the bike frame by spray-caning it with a hideous color. I'll be going that route soon enough because I don't have a budget for a replacement in a $200 range.
