Just had an interesting experience with Buy.com shipping charges

I bought the Toast 9 thru Buy.com today since it was on sale for $47 (and it'll end up costing me $27 after the rebate since I usually skip a version - I'm currently running Toast 7). As I was going through checkout the 2-day shipping method came up as the default shipping method for $5.49. I knew Toast qualified for free, budget shipping (7-9 days) so I selected that. When I did I got a notice that my order was eligible for $2.99 2-day shipping.

Interesting racket they've got going on there. Had I not downgraded to the free shipping I would have been charged $5.49 for a 2-day shipping option I ended up paying $3 for.

Same thing happened to me on my recent purchase from Buy.com. Really weird.
