Stepping through files in a folder

Say I have sorted a folder by date. If I hit letter k I go to the first occurrence of the file staring with k. How do I move to the next file name starting with k again given that they are not listed consecutively?

Tab key will move you alphabetically, by the name of the file, through the list.

At least it does in Tiger. Are you running Leopard?

Yeah, it works the same way in Leopard. I did not know that. Not quite the same but it will do. Thanks.
