Yeah, I don't like that the Dems pushed the sub prime loans either, Dennis.

That, too, is wrong.

Just like the sun coming up in the morning. You are so predictable, swampy. And, so wrong.

Wait... Chris Dodd, Barny Frank, Franklin Raines, Maxine Watters and all the other Democrats that defended the NINJA loans were right? There was nothing wrong with Freddie/Fannie three years ago, or the idea that _everyone_ should own a home was a good thing?

Sure could have fooled me.

Franklin Raines!!!!!! That solves the mystery!

My nutty right-wing 65-year-old* cousin almost blew a gasket at Thanksgiving, foaming at the mouth about "Barney Frank and Franklin 'Somebody'" being the cause of all of the meltdown problems. He said it 3 times and got all puffed up to really lay it on, when his wife said, "Kenneth, Kenneth, Kenneth - not here" to hush him up.

I didn't know who Franklin "Somebody" was and apparently, neither did he. He must have heard about him on Rush or Hannity.

* In a discussion we had about privatizing Social Security when it was in the news, he said he didn't have any need for SS. He had worked hard all his life and saved enough money like people are supposed to. It didn't register on him that he made a great living and had insurance the rest of his life because he was in the BUTCHER'S UNION. Anyway, I was at his house when he turned 65 and decided he needed to go down to the Social Security office the next day.
