Truly, we need to see the beard properly braided so it can be stroked thoughtfuly, a la Pei Mei..
Aside, my personal opinion is that as computers get faster and programs get more capable, the amount we expect to get from them increases. Sadly, decisions are still made poorly, even after reviewing all of this masterfully developed high quality and quantity data. I just spent about three months supporting a working team developing a high quality dynamic data model to support cost reduction initiatives. When confronted with the end product (pre-made negotiation points, etc), one sage asked "Since we're not going to use this, didn't you guys waste your time " ? When asked what he was going to use, he replied "The same things I do now- my experience". Hasn't gotten him very far this year, but I just made ferocious notes on my pad and shut up. My boss and I had a laugh about it later. |
