Is the Original Apple Al 20" LCD better than Twisted Neumatic Dell 20" display for photo editing?

Also, is the Apple Al 20" LCD (original) ok for starcraft type games?

Thanks!

Twisted Neumatic Dell? You mean an Ultrasharp with the the pivoting stand? Ultrasharp monitors are great and have a roughly equivalent panel to Apple's own; they are also about a third to half less of Apple's price. StarCraft isn't that visually demanding of a game, anyway; don't overspend for response time, if that is your concern.

I think he's talking about a TN panel, as they're commonly referred to here.

The Dell panel isn't roughly equivalent to Apple's; they're two entirely different technologies.

That said, the Dell panel is good enough for most folks.

Budget is $250

I could pick up a used 1rst Gen Al 20" or a new Ultrasharp (TN) 20"wide

Sounds like the Apple is the better way to go

The Dell 2007 is very nice but out of your budget.

Yes thats the one i "really" want. Seems like the Apple 20" would be an "ok" substitution (better than 2009 dell ultrasharp)
