Are all/some/most PCI express cards created equal? Looking for add'l FW & USB ports on G5 2.3GHz DC, and have found some no-name cards that claim Mac compatibility for $40, and a bit less, which is a fair bit cheaper than brand name cards... is it worth a shot? any specific chipsets to look for/stay away from? are there any potential sleep, or other issues, w/ an otherwise working PCI-e card? or was that strictly G4 PCI stuff? goal is to avoid daisy chaining a bunch of hubs and devices all off of the mobo. thanks,
Buzz

Biggest issue is whether they are bootable or not. Cheap ones tend to work only after the OS is loaded, which is all that many persons need.

Seems to me that the most solid solution is always to go with the card that is the most compatible with your machine. The PCI cards that OWC sells are noted as to what machine they support, so why take a chance hitting some site that may not support your computer?
You can see all the
PCI Express cards OWC sells here.
Take a gander ;-)
Hope this helps!
