Verizon vs AT&T for the iPhone???
#1
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/ATampT-Try...27072.html

Complaints about carriers come and go but it seems like Verizon has had it share of hits on the head from users. What would you like? Verizon or ma Bell to continue?

Apple's under contractual obligation not to produce a CDMA version of the iPhone for the U.S. market until 2012.

Moving the iPhone to Verizon would have to be contingent upon Verizon completing their move to GSM. That's not due until 2013.

Darn I'm on Alltel which will soon be Verizon. When I saw the title my heart
raced for a few seconds. I have a Touch but want an iPhone but would
rather not switch to AT&T.

It really just depends where you are. Verizon is great in Los Angeles, but has a dead spot right near my house. My friends complain about AT&T's coverage but at my house they say it's great.

T-Mobile works great.

Apple is NEVER going to produce a CDMA iPhone! And iPhone as it currently stands does not support T-Mobile's 3G network.

They'll offer an iPhone to Verizon when both they and ATT move to LTE for their 4G networks in 2010-2011.

Maybe where you're standing, but in many parts of the country it doesn't work at all. I had a Tmobile BB/cellphone and it didn't work in over half the places I went to. Ok in major cities, but otherwise it was a crap shoot.

In the past 4 years, I have had 3 of the major carriers, and I will say that my opinion is AT&T is the best. Best coverage where I live, and best coverage where I travel. Of course, YMMV.

And of course, they offer the best device.

AT&T's motto is "We're not happy until you're not happy" according to many people. But the iPhone is great and AT&T is the only choice (unless you want to hack it onto T-Mobile).
